Secret Recipe: Wakame and Pickled Turnip Sea Urchin Salad

I’ve got a very special treat to share with my Patrons this week! If you've been craving a trip to the ocean as much as I have, the responsible thing to do is obviously to create delightful savory salads filled with fresh oceanic flavors from the safety of your own home (and keep the small towns along the coast safe while doing so!) Inside those luminous shells of pickled turnips is a fusion salad of wakame, pickled turnips, potatoes, and a creamy sesame yogurt dressing. These beautiful salads are much easier to make than they look and are sure to please even the most refined of mermaids, no seafood required.

This vegetarian salad has all the briny beauty of the sea without any critters. It’s roughly based on the Japanese Sunomono salad, but I added some creaminess from yogurt inspired by Middle Eastern dips and recipes. Toss some potato salad ingredients into this mix and this salad is a true fusion. This salad is cooling and best enjoyed on a warm spring day!

You can find all of the components for this delightful recipe here. If you’d like to learn more about my Patreon program, just head to this page to see what it’s all about. Oh, and patrons - don’t forget about our Bunker Games Masquerade celebration tomorrow!
