Perfect for the holidays, this festive platter is full of rich, hearty, sharp flavors from rum and huckleberry-spiked cranberry sauce to smoky wild mushroom cheese. It can serve as a meal for a small group or an appetizer platter for a party. You’ll surely astound your guests either way!
Platters like this are a fantastic way to try out new flavor combinations or techniques while clearing out your fridge or pantry. I’ve spruced mine up with some zesty foraged ingredients (from rose hip rum to sour sumac,) but have also included suggestions for substitutions if you don’t have a pantry and freezer full of foraged ingredients like I do. ;)
This is a Wondercrew Wednesday post (a day late, thank you for your patience!) and is a way for me to show gratitude to the wonderful people that make this blog (and everything else I do) possible!
This guide includes:
pine nut and cranberry cheese ball
smoky wild mushroom vegan cheese
huckleberry and cranberry sauce
Rose hip and raspberry date balls
beetroot sumac hummus
pine nut seeded bread
In addition, I bought:
Beet crisps
Red peppers
Pickled peppers (mini)
Purple carrots
Red grapes
From my pantry I snagged a jar of pickled walnuts, and was ready to assemble!
