March Mandala

The Spring Equinox: a halfway point between Midwinter and Midsummer. With it comes the return of spring, with its treats for the senses: soft moss to walk on, scented trees and blossoms, rich custardy eggs to eat, the bright beauty of spring blooms and, of course, the uplifting birdsong. Now is the time when old seedpods from autumn's bounty start sprouting new life. The reawakening of life is all around us: buds are forming on the trees, and the very first flowers can be found gracing our newly-green landscape. The birds have returned, their cacophony of calls forming early morning music. Chickens are laying again as the sun greets them and we, too, feel the restless excitement of spring in our bones. Oh, what a beautiful time to awake!
